What is a Registered Agent?

A registered agent receives service of process on behalf of a company who does business in Missouri.  Service of Process documents include tax materials, litigation documents or any other documents from the Secretary of State's office.

A registered agent will accept these documents on your behalf and will forward them to you privately.

No more problems with changed addresses or the embarrassment of having the Sheriff at your door.

Why do I need a Registered Agent?

When forming a business, state statute requires you to designate a registered agent.

Failure to have a registered agent listed with the Secretary of State's office may cause the company to be penalized for non-compliance and may loose its certificate of good standing.
